Marietta C. Jones joined Accidental Injury Advocates, Ltd. in January 2009, but has been working as a paralegal in the legal profession since 1986, specializing in claims brought on behalf of injured people.

Marietta now works as a full-time Virginia and North Carolina workers' compensation paralegal and North Carolina litigation paralegal.  She takes great pride in being able to help injured workers, knowing she helps to ease their mind throughout the claims and litigation process.  She thoroughly enjoys speaking to, and meeting with, every client.  The best part of her job is when a client calls and is truly grateful for the time and commitment she has spent on their claim.

Marietta migrated to the US from the Philippines in the late 1980s, eventually settling in Virginia, where she earned full citizenship in 2004.  She obtained her paralegal certificate from the Harcourt Learning Direct in October 2000.  She attended a Practical Refresher Course on Litigating the Virginia Auto Injury Case in 2004, and is presently enrolled with the State National Training Service.  Being bilingual has been a key attribute in the development of relationships with city government, management and employees.

Prior to migrating to the States, Marietta earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, and an Associates in Secretarial Science from Saint Louis University, Philippines, where she was awarded the SLU Friendship Scholarship.  She taught English language, English Literature, Public Speaking and Secretarial Science in Philippine colleges.

Although she found teaching a very fulfilling career, pay was negligible, which prompted her to focus her efforts on her interest in advertising, eventually joining AMA/DDB Needham Worldwide, Inc., as a Project Manager/Events Coordinator for companies like Nestle Philippines, Mobil Philippines, La Tondena, Inc., and the Philippine Department of Tourism.  She organized and coordinated out-of-town caravans, product launches and samplings, seminars, contests, games, festivals and motor shows for clients and consumers nationwide.

Marietta and her husband, Frank Carlton Jones, have two daughters, Emmah Marivi and Florence Mariel; a son, David Marlon, who is a surgeon at San Juan deDios Hospital in Manila, Philippines; and three grandsons, Andre Julian (10), Gabriel Elijah (6) and Gian Erick (4).
