My compensation checks are coming late. What are my rights and what can I do about that?

A: North Carolina Law requires the prompt payment of compensation to employees.  If any installment of compensation is not paid within 14 days after it becomes due, we can add a 10% penalty to the unpaid check or checks, unless the employer has a very good excuse.
